Klappentext zu „Cell Signaling and Growth Factors in Development, 2 Vols. “
This is the first handbook structured according to organ systems to cover both embryogenesis and organ development. It addresses the functions of developmental signaling pathways and growth factors with a focus on cell division, cell migration, and cell differentiation. A uniform article structure throughout the book facilitates easy comparison of data. Applications in molecular medicine are highlighted with chapters on developmental disorders and related novel therapeutic strategies.

Autoren-Porträt
Klaus Unsicker is full professor for anatomy and cell biology at the University of Heidelberg since 1992. After his exam as MD in 1968 he continued his career as a postdoc at the Universities of Lund, Melbourne and at the University College London and as a research fellow at the University of California, San Diego, and at the NIH/NCI. He has been professor at the University of Marburg from 1978 to 1992. His current research interests are growth factors in neural development.Kerstin Krieglstein obtained her doctorate degree in 1990. Following postdoctoral research at the University of California, Irvine, she joined the Institute for Anatomy and Cell Biology at Marburg and Heidelberg University in 1993. She has been appointed as professor for anatomy at the University of Saarland in 1999 and as director of the Department for Neuroanatomy at the University of Göttingen since 2001. Her current research interests are the mechanisms and molecules involved in brain development.

Rezension zu „Cell Signaling and Growth Factors in Development, 2 Vols. “
